Kellie Bell is the creative force and founder of MK Design Group, Inc. along with her husband Mike who graduated from Georgia Tech. Kellie graduated from Furman University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from Mississippi State University with a Masters in Business Administration.  Along with being an engineer, Mike played for the Atlanta Braves in the 1990-1991 "Worst to First" seasons and is the "M" in MK Design Group.  Mike often coaches the engineering side of the company as well as being the CFO.  Kellie is the "K" in MK Design Group and runs most of the creative side of the company although she credits Mike for his photography contribution as she often uses Mike's signed photography in many of her designs.  After working in the corporate world Kellie decided to embrace her life-long passion for design and enrolled in the Fine Arts Program of Interior Design at Brenau University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. Simultaneously, Bell joined  a building/development company in East Cobb where she assisted with the design of inventory and custom homes and assisted clients with the decision making process from the ground- breaking stages of construction through interior completion of the homes. Additionally, Bell worked with a National Builder to establish a 12,000 square foot design studio in Atlanta and led a team of 10 designers while managing the business of the studio and builder clients. Since starting her own firm Bell has done design work in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. Bell describes her style as comfortable, yet elegant, with an eclectic edge. She mixes timeless pieces with more modern forms to create a sense of evolution in a room while choosing pieces that reflect the character of the client. According to Bell, a room that you can slip into that feels like your most comfortable pair of jeans is a well designed room!
